Ahead of Its 11th Anniversary, ICE BSD City Holds "Bake and Grow" CSR Program to Support Women's Empowerment with Local Community

In celebration of its 11th anniversary, ICE BSD City once again affirms its commitment to creating positive impact for the community through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled "Bake and Grow." In collaboration with SALT by ICE, the program featured a baking workshop with Moms Academy, a community focused on empowering mothers and women, held on 14 July 2026 at Garuda Room 10, ICE BSD City.

Through this program, ICE BSD City not only offered a hands-on cooking experience but also opened space for women to develop skills with the potential to grow into home-based business opportunities. In line with the spirit of its 11th anniversary, Bake and Grow stands as a tangible expression of ICE BSD City's commitment to growing together with the community through initiatives that deliver lasting benefit.

The workshop was led by Chef Rahmat, who guided participants through the process of making donuts from start to finish. Throughout the session, Chef Rahmat shared essential techniques, from measuring ingredients and mixing the dough to fermentation and tips for achieving a soft donut texture using simple equipment commonly found at home. Beyond technical skills, the activity also sharpened participants' precision, patience, and creativity in developing flavor variations and product presentation.

In addition to the donut-making workshop, participants took part in a banana cake demonstration covering practical knowledge on the cake-making process, from preparation stages and common mistakes with their solutions to alternative ingredient substitutions suited to home use. To support participants in applying what they learned, ICE BSD City provided all banana cake ingredients in a goodie bag, allowing each participant to try making it again independently after the event.

Participants' enthusiasm was evident throughout the activity, from eagerly following each instruction to successfully producing their own donuts. More than just a workshop, Bake and Grow served as a platform for sharing knowledge, building confidence, and opening new economic opportunities for mothers through skills they can continue to develop.

As an international-standard MICE destination, ICE BSD City believes that company growth must go hand in hand with real contribution to the community. Through various CSR programs and collaborations with local communities, ICE BSD City will continue to bring forward initiatives focused on empowerment, capacity building, and sustainable relationships with the surrounding environment.
