Konstruksi Indonesia Expo 2024: A Hub for Innovation and Collaboration in the Construction Industry
Konstruksi Indonesia 2024, held from November 6 to 8, 2024, at ICE BSD, was officially inaugurated by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). During his opening speech, AHY emphasized that the construction sector serves as the backbone of infrastructure development, playing a critical role in Indonesia's economic growth. He also urged for an increase in the use of domestic products and workforce to support sustainable development towards the 2045 Indonesia Emas vision.
The event's standout programs were a major draw for attendees. One of the highlights was a conference on supply chain and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), which explored the adoption of modern technologies in infrastructure projects. Additionally, the national construction workforce skill competition captivated public interest, while creative contests like construction-themed photography and videography offered participants an outlet for artistic expression. The expo also championed SMEs through the "Proudly Made in Indonesia" movement, strengthening the position of local products in both national and international markets.
As a form of recognition, awards were given to regional governments and construction service providers who significantly contributed to national development. With more than 15,000 visitors over three days, the event not only served as a platform for sharing innovations but also created opportunities to expand networks and strengthen collaboration between the government, industries, and the public. This exhibition embodied Indonesia's commitment to achieving more advanced and sustainable infrastructure.
