From Gadgets to Robotics: A Recap of Indocomtech 2024’s Tech Extravaganza
Indocomtech 2024, held from October 30 to November 2 at ICE BSD, carried the theme “#TechITAround.” As Indonesia’s largest information technology expo, it aimed to engage Millennials and Gen Z with a wide array of technology, from consumer gadgets to smart home devices and gaming equipment. Spread over 5,000 square meters, this year’s Indocomtech hosted more than 150 national and international exhibitors, offering attractive promotions, such as up to IDR 2,000,000 in cashback and 0% interest installment plans for up to 12 months for digibank by DBS credit card holders.
The event featured two main stages: the Technophoria Stage, focused on Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions, and the Indonesia Technology Transformation (ITT) Stage, tailored to Business-to-Business (B2B) discussions. These platforms allowed visitors to attend talk shows, workshops, and educational programs that connected technology industry players to discuss Indonesia's technological transformation.
Supported by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Indocomtech 2024 also held the National ICT-Informatics Olympiad. This included 11 competition categories, such as robotics contests that attracted students from across Indonesia, making the expo a prime educational and entertaining experience for tech enthusiasts nationwide.
